My 1 1/2 year olds molars are coming in?

His back teeth are coming in and I can tell he is in pain. What are some good "at home" remedies that can help?

Answers:
frozen teething rings
teething gel
ice pops work well, and they get his mind off the pain for
a little while.
make sure he is still eating, and definatle drinking.
my oldest used to get very sick during teething, and we
had a hard time getting her to drink.
LOTS of patients.

Other Answers:
You poor, poor things. Infant tylenol, vibrating teethers...and a whole lot of patience.

Good luck!

Rub a bit of cloves over his gums. Cloves are used to treat dental pain of any sort!! They're even great for adult toothaches. Clove oil is better, or you can make clove tea by just boiling water with whole (preferred) or ground cloves. It's worked really well for me with my kids.

There's some tablets call "Teething Tablets" They are "Homeopathic" and they are good for bed time. They are bought mines over the counter at walmart in vitamins area. They are 100% natural, no side effects, soft tablets dissolve instantly. They work for my 3 kids. I ask our pediatrician before use them and he said that was OK. I've been using them for about 5 years. Hope this work if u can find them. this is my favorite. Get a clean wash cloth and wet it down, squeeze it out well, and stick it in the freezer until it gets a little stiff. little tots love the feeling of the cloth on their gums, its quick and easy, and it can get cold again in just a matter of two minutes, unlike teethng rings that take a few hours, and are often too large to fit into their mouths right.

if you can give them some childrens pain killer, not so much tylenol as soemthing with ibuprophen. tylenol doesnt reduce swelling like the other will, and its the swollen irritated tissue of the gums that hurts.

also, keep your squirt upright as much as you can, if he's taking a short afternoon nap se if you can put him in his carrier instead of his crib, it'll help keep fluid from filling his face and causing more irritation.

A lot of kids run a low fever while teething, you probably know that, but that can really make them super cranky. try warm bath with some toys to sooth him and keep him preoccupied from the discomfort.

it wont take long for those little toofers to break through, then the worst will be over.

good luck!
