my 3 y/o was defendimg little 2 y/o sister?


at day care recentlly should i get cranky with 3 y/o for smacking the bully? I want my girls to grow up to be close and look out for each other what should i do?

No it's good that they look out for each other but you may want to let him know that he can tell the teacher next time instead.
No, you shouldn't get cranky. That's actually pretty evolved sibling loyalty going on there. Depending on the three-year-old's understanding and ability to have a discussion, you might want to talk about better ways of handling conflict than hitting (enlist help of adult). But I'd praise that child to the skies for caring about her sister and intervening, even if her way of intervening was a little kid's physical way.
