help! my son wont eat?
Answers:
Yeah, my son does that too. I found a few tricks that work. He loves milk so I know he is getting nutrition, occasionally I will put some fat free ice cream in it when he won't even drink that.
What I do with food is name everything after something sweet or attractive. Frozen chocolate banana's (use sprinkles to cut back on chocolate) a waffle is a bluberry cookie, yogurt is candy yogurt, I slice a potato and bake it, he thinks its McDonald's french fries. Stuff like that. For the most part it works, we have our glitches and there are times I give in...but as long as he is healthy...I just deal with it.
Other Answers:
Let him starve. Only give him food that's good for him, and he'll eat when he's hungry. Don't give in.
Try making the food exiting for him or try a reward system of giving him lots of chocolate after a tiny bite carrot :) good luck
Talk to your doctor. He may tell you to try some kind of drink (kind of like ensure).
try putting sugar on the food and see if that helps, then reduce amount of sugar until there is very little sugar in the food!
He is probably holding out for sweets because he knows he will get them. He is training you. It should be the other way around. And I promise you he won't starve if he misses a meal or two. Trade sweets for sweet goodies like apple slices, berries, unsalted crackers with sugarless fruit spread, applesauce, whatever as long as it is healthy. Don't let him win! You are the parent, he is the child. I know it breaks your heart, but if you continue to give in, you are inviting obesity, diabetes, and a whole host of other possible problems. Skipping a meal or two is better than having a sick, unhealthy child any day. Be firm and let him know that YOU are in charge, not him. You'll be just fine. And he will be better off because of your strength. Good luck.
he will not starve himself 2 death, keep giving him liquids, leave out good food 4 him stuff that his nan n dad say he likes n just wait it out. 2 year old r a handful but he should eat when he is hungry enough.if it last more than 2 days then call his dr or if he has fever or pain.
I understand this one lol my 2 1/2 year old is the same way would rather eat at someone elses house.Try pedasure. Try lean pockes Cam loves them or ask his nan what she makes and see if she can make some extra or tell him you brought is all the way from nans for him... I have a daughter and an adopted son. I think it's just a phase they're going thru. What i did was, my daughter at that age only takes chicken nuggets and won't take nothing else,as a malaysians,we consume lots of rice so i was a lil worried, i served her nuggets every single day without failed. After a week or so she totally gave up on nuggets and started eating something else.
I have same problem with my 4,5 old son. Tray with sweets with brown sugar and plane apple, banana or carrot and add brown sugar. Use imagination.
In morning when he is jet sleepy I give him milk with little honey.
Same thing happened to my daugther and her doctor said that is normal. They are experiencing changes on their diet. Try something that he really like. Avoid candies. Or let him starve he will get hungry eventually. If in 2 days he don't eat anything take him to his doctor.

ha...he'll eat when he's hungry...
don't let them give him sweets anymore...
this is probably just a stage...around that age, they find out they can start making decisions on their own, and you just have to stay strong...and don't give in...
like i said, he'll eat when he's hungry, shouldn't take too long...just make sure you at least still offer him food, then you're doing your job...
good luck
nessiary having the same problem with my son so i can relate. i usually just let him eat when he gets hungry. i know its hard because of your routine and all but take day by day. have him eat a little everytime u eat. feed him if need be.
