Your good @ potty training I wanted 2 say first of all! My son is 2 1/2 and getting the potty training down about time!! anyhow I learned that he would be scared to poop! because they are little and that is something that belongs to him. It may sound funny but yeah it's true! he will come through just give him alot of praises when he does. I fyou think he is constipated give him some apple or prune juice to let it all out!

give him a little prune juice.
prune juice! Apple Juice was magic for my nephew...It loosened him right up.
buy some pedia lite
hes prob not constipated, hes prob just holding so he doesnt have to face tthe potty again. be easy on him. dont pressure him, or he will def not make poo in the potty. Offer him a sticker and something cool for him, everytime he uses the bathroom and lets say, 3 stickers if he does pooHe is most likely constipated give him some corn syrup mixed with his milk (Karo syrup works best) It will soften his poop and make it easier for him to go and won't give him the runs either. GOOD LUCK!

experience Wow, are you a grown-up, I have never heard a person who says, "poo, potty, nappies". Just feed him more, it will come out eventually or his stomach will explode, one or the two.
two yr olds have great control, they are often afraid that they are "losing" part of themselves when they poop in the potty. Try Prune juice or castoria for children (tastes like root beer and is very gentle) If he does get constipated and it hurts the problem just continues as he will be afraid to go. Push juices and water and praise him when he goes. Good Luck
He may be afraid to do the #2 on the potty. My son is 3 and for a while, he would only pee in the potty. Still, he probably is constipated because they'll usually go in the morning in the pull ups or something if they're just holding it in. I gave my son Fletchers Root beer flavored laxative. i guess it tastes pretty good to him.Source(s):

Your son is learning to control his bodily functions, which is one of the few things he actually has any say over. He finally can say when and if he's going to use the potty. Just keep encouraging him, and he'll work everything out in his own time. Very few kids get everything right in the first few weeks of potty training, so be prepared to do a lot of laundry. Also, be forewarned that sometimes they will do it in this potty, but never in that potty. Don't know why, it's a two year old thing. Don't get pedialight that is for diarrhea, not constipation. Try giving him lots of water and apple/ grape juices. If he hasn't gone by tommorrow afternoon call his doctor and see what he/she says for you to do.
1 teaspoon of minerial oil in his juice shake well safe and will help.
He's probably not constipated but more then likely holding it. My nephew would hold his until my sister put his diaper on him. He did this for about two weeks then finally he decided on his own that he didn't need them. Just give him time. Going from being a baby{diapers} to being a big boy is a big change{no pun intended} it takes time to adjust. Good luckMost likely he isn't constipated, but holding it in. The longer he holds it the firmer it is going to get thanks to limited space and lack of moisture. My two year old had this problem when learning to toilet train and our pediatrician said plenty of water and benefiber. Benefiber it's like an equalizer, it will firm up diarrhea and soften a 'too firm' stool making it easier to pass.
