The doctor says I have to take away my 17 month old son's bottle away, I need some tips?
Answers:
it might be rough for a night or two for him, but it will pass. i'm sorry that i don't have any suggestions, except to rub his little back to sooth him and maybe make sure to take some time before bedtime and read him a soothing story, and then gently put him to sleep.
if he's tired during the next day, try not to let him sleep much more than normal or his hours will get all messed up. he can have a little extra sleep time - maybe 1/2 hour, but you want him a little tired so he may go to sleep on time the next night.
good luck dear,
It really is for his best, so don't punish yourself too much when he is fussing.
just take it away and stick him in the car until he falls asleep. I mean take a car ride. dont just stick him in the car... lol.
You'll have to fight him on it for sure, but eventually going to bed at night without a bottle will become natural.
it was hard but all you can do is tell him he is a big boy and see if that helps him but when it is time for him to go to sleep get him a toy or something he likes and see if he goes to sleep that way
