whats a good age to start potty training?
Answers:
You can start encouraging it around 18 months or younger. But do not expect results until two.
The earlier you start the earlier chances are you will get results...but every child is different.
Other Answers:
2 - 4 yrs. old
it all depends on the child... some learn to use the potty at one and a half other not until almost three and a half... also dont force a child to use the potty... it will make matters worse...
There is not magic age! Unfortunately! Try introducing the whole potty thing periodically. When the child shows interest, continue. The worse thing you can do is force it.
Once you have reached that point, give praise! give praise!
Every time your child goes potty, let them come back and say I went potty, make everyone else make a big deal about it. When the child sees everyone else thinking it is the best thing, your child will follow your lead.
Good luck!

I introduced the potty to my son at about 14 months of age, so that it wouldnt be new or frightening. At first it was just like a new chair to him, just his size. He gradually grew to be more interested, and now at 20 months old, he stays dry most of the day. He does most of his peeing on the potty, and is learning to poop on the potty. I dont force the issue on him, if he has an accident in his pullups, i just say OOPS, better luck next time. And everytime he does use the potty, he gets a sticker on his chart, and he loves the little reward.
16 -18 months, encourage them, and when they do it, show them support. Remember each child is different, what works for one, may not works for another. My first child was completely out of the diapers by 2 yrs, even the doctor was surprise. He had the smallest under-ware you can ever see, so cute. But my second till 3 yrs, it took him a little longer, but he was out of it when it was the right time for him.
2 1/2 - 3, never before.. make sure to use books nd video to prepare for the child's first sit..
Never. Just be sure to talk about it with the child once in a while "See! Mommy is peeing in the toilet!" Then let the child decide instead of trying to train her/him. The only child of my 5 that I toilet trained is the one who wet the bed until age 7. And all of my kids today use the toilet on their own initiative. It's just not worth the trouble to toilet/potty train them if it means changing sheets and trying to wash mattresses on a daily basis in order to save a few months of changing diapers!!
I've 2 girls & fm exp. there is no right or wrong age.
However, let me tell U that the first step is for children to realize they need to change their diapers, & communicate that to U, as soon as my girls showed they comprehend that it was a signal for me to tell them & show them how momy goes about it & introduce them to the potty. It takes a lot of training since this is the first time U are asking them to drop their routine of just letting it go, & move to a new stage where they have to focus & do it only here. So be patient & always encourage them & create a good atmosphere to help them get there.
My best
30 years old. They practically learn by themselves at that age!
around 18 months
i wouldnt start with a boy til age three a girl age 2 and a half. my son is three and still not fully trained
my daughter's peditrician suggested for me to start trying to potty train her at two. She's now three, and is doing fairly well.
It varies with the children. Girls generally mature and learn things quicker than boys. It all depends on your child though. Don't try to force it on them if they aren't ready. If they start taking off thier own diaper when they mess in it, then it's probably time. If they start talking about it or showing you the toilet and saying pee or poop, then its time, otherwise wait till they are ready. It helps if you let them watch u use the toilet also. It makes them want to be big like u.
as soon as possible my baby is one and im teaching him now and hes getting the hang of it the sooner the better
Depends..a boy usually takes longer than a girl. I'd say about 2 for a boy and 1 1/2 for a girl..Than it can also depend on the child.
