How do I get my 2 year old son to eat something besides junk food??

Answers:
First off make sure that you don't leave junk food readily available. If you have it in the house keep it on the top shelf so junior can't reach.
If he refuses to eat healthy food because it is "yucky" you can always spice it up a little bit. Try adding peanut butter with apples, celery, babana, etc.
You can also buy healthier replacements for his favorite junk foods. For example you can 1.make boxed cake with a can of diet gingerale. Just empty the box, add the soda, mix, and bake. No eggs or oil. 2.Bake home-made cookies using a sugar substitute(splenda is a good one). 3.When shopping read the labels. If you buy lower fat/sugar/calorie versions of what he already eats he probably wont notice the change.
My last suggestion is to make it fun. Cut up fruits and veggies into different shapes. Be creative.
No matter what you decide I suggest you try a new food every week. He may look forward to what he gets to try next. Starfruit is a good starter. Keep it fun and don't push one particular food too much. variety keeps it interesting.

Other Answers:
Don't keep any junk food in the house and make good food available to him. He'll eat.

stop buying junk food, when he gets hungry enough he'll eat the good stuff Step one is to stop giving it to him. He might get a little hungry, but that's okay, he won't starve to death.

Your best method is to buy, prepare, and eat only healthy foods yourself.

First of all you're the mom. He eats what you give him so change his diet.
