how can I completely potty train my three year old?

I've been working on it since she turned two and still having problems with it. She's still wearing pampers at night and having accidents during the day.

Answers:
I have two kids and the best way that I see to work is to just let them run around without anything on. Make sure that you have 2 or 3 days that you can stay with him/her and keep on them and make it fun for them to go.

Show her how a couple times using a doll and get really excited for the doll when she peepees, like silly excited, like you are sooo happy... Then let her drink all afternoon till shes gotta go and show her how. "like dolly did". Then just make a really big deal about it. Like throw a big party. Big hugs and excitement and lots of praise and she'll get the idea pretty quick...
I don't have much experience but my mom would always make sure that after we eat and about one hour later she would sit us on the toilet for a while and of course we would usually go. Also don't forget to ask if they need to go to the bathroom during the day, then they get more used to it. Oh yeah, it's very common for kids to leak in bed until there around 6! Hope it helped!
first stop using the pampers get training pants or pull ups tell her she is a big girl and take her to the potty every hour in a half or get her some colorful underpants and tell her she can wear the pretty one in the day time just keep your patients with her she will get it (by using the pampers you could be confusing her )dont let her drink alot after a supper good luck
when my son was a year and a half, i already started potty train him. diapers are so expensive and even pull ups. during the day, i let him wear just his undies. when he peed his undie he felt bad and dirty so he didnt have any choice but to go to the bathroom. after that let your child put the dirty undie in the washer so she'll realize that she's a big girl now. but of course during the night u still need to put diapers. but it takes time. just be patient.
Every child is unique, so the only answer I have is to share my experience w/ you. I started by putting a potty in the bathroom and letting him follow us to the bathroom and see how we potty. Once he started thinking about it, he would ask me to draw pictures people we knew sitting on the potty. This went on for over a year while he refused to sit on his potty. When I noticed his morning diapers were dry, I realized he didn't want to potty train - he was resisting change. Eventually I put him in underwear, daytime and night time. He tried to hold it forever, and had 2 accidents (which he hated). After that he was completely trained.

Another good idea is to have the child avoid duretics (sp?) such as tea, soda, coffee because that will make the child pee more. Don't let her drink anything for 2 hours before bedtime.

no pull-ups! - get some big girl panties & some plastic *panties* diaper covers(the kind they use for the cloth diapers). so when she does have an accident, it doesn't wet up your furniture or car but she has to feel it still.

spend an entire 2-3 days at home. after 15-20 minutes of sommin to drink, to the potty, or right before & after naps or play times. get her some (i dont do the candy) fruit snacks or goodie of somesort, even stickers or any small things - everytime she pees in toilet make a big deal, give her a goodie.
do not be lazy, take her in there!
wake up 5am & put her on toilet & still get excited & everything - don't let her drink anything or eat anything at least 2 hours before bed time.
persistence & consistent positive reinforcement
if you are a woman, take her in bathroom everytime you go too or, at least let her know why you are going in bathroom
this is the best time to teach her how to wipe correctly (front to back) & to teach her wash her hands everytime too
get her some fun soap to wash hands with - be fully supplied with pottyseat, stool for sink, fun soap, tissue (or even wipes), plastic panties, panties & GOODIES - do not run out of anything for a few weeks!
