3 year old still wears pullup at night? is this normal? should she be waking up to potty during the night?

pediatrician says to get rid of the pullups - so i did - and she wets the bed without ever waking up. any advice would be appreciated.

Answers:
My son is completely potty trained during the day but still wears pull ups at night. I think that if she is still wetting the bed at night leave her in a pull-up. It is not fair to leave her lay in a wet bed all night if she isn't waking up. I'm sure your pediatrician wouldn't want to lay in her pee all night. Also, do not with hold fluids after a certain time at night. If she is thirsty let her drink.
Don't worry she is still little and she will not be in pull ups at night forever.

change pediatricians.... there is nothing that will cure this but time and please let your baby get some rest. She will not be 25 wearing pull ups trust me. Don't make a big deal out of this
My three year old still wears them in the night and I teach her to use the bathroom in the nighttime. I also cut out all the fluids before bed. That seemed to help alot. She can have a drink before bed but she has to use the bathroom before she goes into bed and that has made such a difference.
Try waking her up during the night and making her go to the washroom before she gets a chance to wet herself.
I think this is perfectly normal especially if it's only at night time. My mom used to wake me up in the middle of the night until I was at least 6 years old. After awhile the child will become familiar with waking up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom and should start doing it on their own. Or maybe you can just set an alarm for her when she gets a bit older. Hope this helps!
you should let her go potty before she goes to bed also don't let her drink anything for a cuple hours before bedtime. Bad thing about pull ups is they don't feel the discomfort of being wet so she will keep wearing them. buy a bed liner so if she does go she won't like to be wet and you will save your mattress!!!!! my 3 yr old would wake up to go cuz he did not like to be wet....It lasted about a week then he adjusted to holding it through the night.. good luck i know it is not easy....
Leave them on and yes change pediatrician if they do not listen to you and you are questioning their answers
Some kids are faster then others in the potty training stage, do not worry it will happen when she is ready and not because some adult is saying that she is ready
its perfectally normal. some kids these days have to were pullups when there 3. if shes just now being potty trained it will take a little while 4 her to get use to using the toliet. and thats ok. if shes a heavy sleeper she may not feel that she wet the bed.i now its normal for kids to wet the bed even though they have pull ups on and not fell it because my little brother use to when he had pullups and diddn't even feel it when he was 5,4, and 6! so don't worry about it.im sure its fine.

look it up if your still not sure at 3yearoldkidsfacts
This is normal
Yes this is quite normal for 3-year-olds fist they get day control then they get night control so dont get mad at her be helpful not angry and her then she will not need pullup and she will be going to the potty once she gets night time contol of the potty
I agree with momma - she will eventually start getting up herself. My son was 3 and a half before he was fully potty trained.

What I did at night was: He was to be in bed by 8:30 so I didn't give him anything to drink after 7 pm. I would tell him precisely at 7 pm "I'm fixing you a half cup of juice & no more to drink tonight", then at 8:20 or so, I would take him to the bathroom to pee - I just did this EVERY NIGHT for a couple of weeks then I took the pull-up off him & he did just fine! Now, every once in a while, between 7 & 8:30 he would be thirsty, so I would pour out exactly two drinks of water for him & MAKE SURE he pottied before bed.

It's normal. My 5 yr old still has trouble with this. He's fully potty trained, but has such a hard time getting up at night to go potty, he wets the bed. Your pediatrician knows that young children can take a long time before they are fully trained. The best thing for you to do is to put her back in pull ups, and wake her up maybe once or twice each night and make her get up to go potty. Once she gets used to it, she will get up on her own.
Also, don't let her have anything to drink two hours prior to going to bed. And make sure she goes potty right before bed time.
Do not get rid of the pull-ups, there is nothing wrong with them being used as a matter of fact it is better if you do use them to save the bed being wet all the time.

Yes it is very normal for your daughter to still wet the bed, some children at night do not remember that they need to get up to go to the potty.Everything is alright and with time she will out grow it.

Please remember that this is going to take time and you need to not get angry at her for it , as much as it seems a pain half the time having to wash extra washing, she does not like it any more then what you do.If the bed is wet ask her to help you change the sheets.

I hope this works, I am saying from going through the same thing with my sisters and brothers.
