how can i make my 22months old son to keep his thumb out if his mouth?

Don't make him stop, he'll likely grow out of it. He's doing it to calm himself, and it might be stressful to be forced to stop before he's ready. Some people say if it's still happening at 4-6 years, then take another look at it, and that before then it's very unlikely that it would cause problems with teeth or anything else.
