why is it every thing a baby holds..it goes right into their mouth?..lol..sh...

Answers:
I didn't know this until I had my first child, but it is a NECESSARY part of development. If they don't, it's a red flag for problems. It is necessary to process the world around them, as with all senses, this is just how the oral processing works. My first didn't, and I thought I had the world's best baby! He also didn't get into anything, I didn't have to baby proof the house at all with him. I found out later he had autism, and that's WHY he was such a 'good baby'. My neighbor had the same kind of child, and he was diagnosed with Sensory Integration Disorder. So, be happy that yours is doing exactly what he/she should be, as frustrating as it is. My second is TOTALLY NORMAL, and although it's a lot more work, I enjoy it. Hindsight, ya know.

Other Answers:
It's just their way of exploring the world they live in.

Babies learn textures that way. they don't know yet that there are things in their universe that are not meant to be eaten (-;

They observe the world by feeling textures. That, or they are teething...

It's one of the 5 senses, taste. Also, how it feels.

According to Freud, babies explore the world through their
mouthes.

it is there way of learning what things are and different textures sure it is nasty to us sometimes but you just have to understand that it is their way of exploring their surroundings Everything a baby holds goes directly into the mouth because a baby likes to suck and everything they can hold they will suck this is why they will put everything into the mouth. The only thing they can use at this time is their mouth. They don't have control over what they put in their mouth they only wants to sucka nd they will suck on anything they can.

It's all of the above learning, exploring.

TEETHING OR ALOT OF BABES ARE CURIOUS. THEY ARE EXPLORING.

My little girl is almost three and STILL puts everything in her mouth !! you seem surprised by this. i assume u are a new parent. you need to be really cautious about what you leave around. by the lol {laugh out loud} i take it that you aren't that serious about the care of your child. please please, talk to the folks at dhs. they have clases and councelling that can help you. and it's free. your child really deserves better.
