is it wrong for me to remove my 3 yr old sons blanket if he throws it at me an says "no blanket"?

Answers:
Nope. I'd take it for a short time (remember, young children don't have a real sense of time). Then give it back if he seems upset, and tell him, "I took it because you threw it at me. Don't do that anymore!" In a calm but firm voice. If he did it again, I'd take it until he went to sleep (probably). Then cover him up if he was cold. Freezing your toddler isn't appropriate.

mom of 7 and a grandbaby not at all. he needs to know who's in charge. just don't remove it forever. take it for a short period of time, and when you return it, remind him of why he lost it in the first place. kindly.

what?

Quit worrying about 'is this ok?" "is that ok?" Just be yourself and don't get neurotic over every thing you do with your kid. Have another kid and you'll see that crap like this doesn't matter! LOL. But seriously, you will drive yourself bonkers if you second guess everything you do as a parent. Kids deal with easy crap like this very well.

Make a decision and stick with it.

(maybe put the blanket on him when he's asleep)

That depends. If you are putting him to bed and he doesn't want to be covered then take the blanket out of the room. After he goes to sleep you can go in and cover him.

If he is in the living room and is throwing a fit. Take the blanket and put it away. Hell No there's nothing wrong with it! He should learn not to throw things at you, way to show him who's in charge.
