How to Brush Your Toddler's Teeth?
Answers:
make it into a game, sound enthusiastic and get them to make lots of ooh and ahh eee sounds, this gives you the chance to brush all the teeth. Get them a fun toothbrush or like me two, my youngest daughter gets to choose which one she uses each day (she thinks the whole thing is her idea then). After you have brushed them let the toddler have a go themselves and clean you own teeth while they do it....the will watch and try and copy you.
Other Answers:
Let them do it! Let them do it, and take turns. That's what I do with my toddler. Of course, she likes to steal all the toothbrushes, so her teeth are good!

I agree with the other answers on here. Other things you could try is to let the child have a go at brushing your teeth then you do theirs... this means that you can make sure theirs are clean whilst keeping it fun. :o)
Buy him ot her pretty toothbrushes and a great tasting non flouride tooth paste made for small children. I bought my son a spiderman electric toothbrush when he was about 2- 2 1/2 we use it till this day and he is now 7 and he brushes every morning and night. You have to be diligent in this learning method as you know it is very inportant. And after this acceptance of cleanliness all the rest will fall in--like washing your hands before you eat and after the bathroom etc. Good luck.........

My own experience as a Mother, Aunt, Great Aunt, Sister,Cousin, Friend, Daughter...........
I found a tooth brush that fits on your finger. Its like what people use for separating sheets of paper. You put it on your pointer finger. put the tooth paste on it. It gives you more control and your less likely to hurt your child.
They have toothbrushes that light up for a minute. That's how long they have to brush. You need to supervise until the child is six. Use only a small amount of paste if any att all until they are good at spitting and rinsing. The toothbrushes with the light are fun and they are only a dollar.
Let them try it themselves with only water on the toothbrush, and always let them watch you. When you are brushing them, get them a toothbrush they like, but make sure to buy extra because it is inevitable that they will become attached to a certain type and you won't be able to buy it again(my daughter did this to me). Put a little toothpaste on the brush and tell them to open wide. We used to have a bird toothbrush and toothpaste set that came with a story about a crocodile who pairs up with a bird all its life and the bird cleans the crocodile's teeth(it is actually true in the wild). My son loved the story and never fought having his teeth brushed. I'm pretty sure it was called "Bill and Pete" by Tomie de Paola. Also, taking them to the dentist and having either the dentist or a hygienist explain tooth cleaning is nice when they are preschool age.
My niece also always brushed her teeth after she saw her grandmother's dentures. Sometimes fear will talk kids into letting you brush their teeth easy if they think that their teeth will turn black and fall out. That's only a last resort though, you don't want them to freak when they loose their first tooth.

Brush yours and they are great at copying you. In order to get in there yourself, let them scrub your teeth with your toothbrush, then you take a turn scrubbing theirs. Go back and forth and presto, pearly whites!
For the best answer ask your toddler's dentist.
