My son is 16 months old, and a very picky eater....?
Answers:
At 16 months, he likes to be in a rut. Kids at that age (all toddlers in fact) prefer to know what is in front of them, experimenting isn't a big deal to them. I read an article that says sometimes you have to put something in front of a child 100 or more times before they recognize it as something "normal" in their diet. Try as hard as you can to offer all the food groups at every meal, even just a bite of a vegetable or meat is better than nothing. My daughter is 2 and is just getting over refusing to eat anything new. She still won't eat certain meals, no matter how often I put them in front of her.
