allergies?

For the past 3 days when ever I take my daughter, who is 2, outside she immediatly gets a rash on her arms and legs. At first I thought it was the sunblock so yesterday I did not put any on her. I took her outside for 10 minutes and she got the rash. It is blotchy and usually goes away when we go inside. She itches and a bath relieves the itch. Also she has developed an awfull cough. Anyone who has heard of this please respond. Please do not tell me to take her to the doctors because that is obvious I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of it. I know her doctor is only going to tell me to give her a breathing treatment for her cough.

Answers:
sounds like allergies you can also try claritin 24 hour for children. My daughter is almost 22 months she has the same thing. Try adveeno oatmeal bath and lotion. I feel as a mom that it is allergies and that going to the doctor will not solve very much. Also try eucrine calming cream it is another cream that will work great. Or inquire about zyrtec with the pediatrician. It is prescription and given 1 time a day at night

Sounds like she has allergies, please take her to her doctor, my son has the same thing she needs meds.

She may be allergic to the sun. Some medications have this as a side effect. If she hasn't had any new medicines lately then I would take a look at where she goes when she is outside. She may be brushing against a plant or something that gives that reaction. Some benadryl should answer the question of it being allergies. Give it to her 30 min. before going outside. If she has no, or a reduced reaction, then it's allergies. If it wasn't for the cough, I would have also suggested heat rash. Heat still could be a factor though if she has sensitivity to something not from outside, like fabric softener, and the heat exacerbates the sensitivity.
