I had my first b/f at age 16 and he was 19. It really depends on your level of maturity. My b/f was a great guy and still remains my one true love and soul mate. He migrated and we were to young to keep it going. It affected my studies and 26 years later after being married for 20 years and a lovely family I still think of him.......

I think so... too much of an age gap, not to mention the legal implications. Once you're older, the larger age gaps are nothing big, but for now, try to find a guy your age.
It probably is not wrong but it is most likely unwise. When I was 16 I would never have understood that someone who was only 4 chronological years older than me was really much older than that in terms of life experience. It's that experience that can be what causes most of the problems in a relationship. The older person really has the upper hand (whether they are consciously aware of it and/or deliberately trying to use it) and as such it pretty much means this relationship is NOT one based on equals. When one person always has the advantage- in this case the simple fact of 4 more years of life experience which is 1/4 your entire life experience- it will be next to impossible for you to ever be treated as an equal. It is a better idea to engage in relationshiups with someone who is closer to your own age- at least in this stage of your life. Good luck with whatever you decide and ALWAYS protect yourself from STDs and pregnancy.

depends on where you live..if your in the UK then 16 is the legal age of consent for sex...but in other counties it is higher!...but the age difference no that's no a large gap...i am 26 my husband is 41..and i know people where the woman s 38 and her boyfriend is 18...just so long as you take the right precautions i don't see a problem
No i don't think that it is wrong, only if you are ready for a mature relation. If not you need to think about it and try going out with someone of your own level.

A guy that is about to turn 20 has different views on how to live life. A 16 yr old should be enjoying her/his time as a teen and friendships, school, first jobs, dances, high school sports games, etc.

If you two were four or five years older, then it would be more acceptable. Enjoy your high school years, the ball games, the senior prom. If he really is interested, he will wait for you to graduate (but I doubt that he will).
At your age, he is more mature than you. Find someone in your school or neighborhood that's your own age to go out with.
Well we all have 4 personalities that is physical, mental, intellcutal and emotional. we have people of age 30 who behave like they are 20, we have geniues who are just 20 and have maturities like 40, then we have people of 35 who confused like an 3 yr old kid, hence the age gap really does not matter all you have to do is go slow and check whether both of you gel with each other and then take a call.
