is this a problem for him ? sometimes i accidently walk in on him and he`s doing this. i knock on his door now and announce myself because to save embarasment for him and me as his mother. no mother wants to walk in on somethin like that!! i have also caught him with dirty movies. is he going through a phase ???

You must be a new mother if you don't know that this is a phase. It is not a problem for him because since it feels good most teens or preteens may not want to stop but they do eventually.

I remember being 14 even though it was ages ago and I would think your son is perfectly normal. Hormones are raging at that age. I wouldn't concern myself with it and continue to respect his privacy.

almost all males masturbate at nearly any age. it's healthy and doubtful he'll grow out of it. as long as he's doing it privately and isn't hurting himself or anyone else it isn't really necessary or a good idea to make him stop. you can really mess up his psyche by making him feel like his body is something dirty that shouldn't be touched even by himself.

it's more of a lifestyle, not a phase. maybe guys tend to masturbate a little less as they get older, but we all do it (yes, even married guys on occasion...and if they say they don't, they're lying!). and the dirty movies? that's not a phase either. guys like porn, simply put...whether ur 14 or 41, i don't think anything all of a sudden changes in u and u just stop liking it.

well you should try and limit his dirty movie thing. He is not of age yet. Its not a problem, he has to explore his sexuality. It will be a problem when it is sore and such but he will know that yeah all teen guys do it and teen girls
