10 year old with eating problem?
Question:
Answers:
My husband is the same way and it only gets worse with age. I suspect this is a symptom of OCD but he has never been diagnosed. He brings plastic silverware to restaurants and will only drink from a Togo cup. Maybe if this is addressed while he is young it won't get to that point. Try to understand that this is seriously an issue for him. I can count on the fact that after I run the dishwasher at least 1/2 of the dishes are back on the cabinet because they didn't pass his inspection. I love him enough that I put up with it but wish he would consider seeing someone. He is way too cynical for a therapist and too set in his ways. If we are eating out and our children are eating a piece of bread and it grazes the table he will take it from. Let the water works begin. Eating out is so stressful for him and sometimes going to someone else's house is worse because he can see what they do while they cook. Keep in mind that this is an underlying problem and sarcasm and punishment probably won't solve it.

he should talk to a professional
Take him to the dr and get him checked for OCD, or .... I can't remember now for the life of me what it is called (FYI: pregnancy hormones eat brain cells) Anyway there is a disorder out there that I want to say is called germaphobia, and should he have that you want to get him help asap because it may just progress. If it does he maynot be able to go out into public and do "normal" things. Look into it hope this helped! then he will have to starve until he tries to find something to eat. he will tell you to fix it eventually. or he will fix it all by himself.
Dont let someone sneeze or anything around it. Think about it, you wouldnt want someone's snot on your food. ewww!
kick hes *** real good that will work then he will eat all the time try it it worksMy sister and brother were both very fussy like that when they were little. In both cases it was just a phase they grew out of.
Just wait and see if he starts to get better with time. If, after a while, he doesn't show any sign of changing his habits then you might want to consider a visit to the doctor.
