why do abortions cost so much
i found out that it would be $400 and the hole reason i was considering it is because we cant afford a baby so if i cant afford it how can i afford to not have it that makes no sense at all

Im sorry that you got pregnant. Itis insane how much wanting or not wanting a baby costs. Did you know that people out ther who want a baby and are as fortunate as you to get pregnant could and up paying over 50,000 dollars just to be able to call a baby there own whether it be by birth or adoption. All these people on here yelling at you for the descions you are making are ignorant. It is your life and you need to do what you want or feel is right. Have you considered giving the baby up for adoption? There are alot of people who want kids. You could make a couple very happy. Plus if you want you could have an open adoption and still be able to see your child grow up and be able to explain to him/her why you did what you did. If you go to plan parenthood it shouldnt be so expensive. I believe that they go on a sliding scale. I hope you change your mind, but dont let people critize you for your actions its your life not theres...If you would like to talk more pleae email me...

If you can't afford to have a baby - and you want it - you can apply for medical cards (issued by the state that you live in) they pay for doctors visits and your stay in the hospital when you have the baby. The baby is automatically issued a card when it's born and therefore it's medical needs are paid for. WIC will buy milk, cheese, eggs, etc. for you before the baby is born and formula for the baby afterward. It's easier to afford a baby than an abortion because you can have a baby shower to get things like clothes and diapers. No one will lend you money for an abortion.

I dont know, maybe it's a blessing in disguise...have your sweet little baby! You can do it! maybe they are so high so you will think twice about doing it....if you didnt want somebody to buy something off of you, you would make it really expensive, right?

That's how it should be, I think they should cost even more! Your killing a human being, and it shouldn't be cheap. That's so messed up, to just give up a life because you made a mistake and got pregnant. You knew what you were doing when you had sex, and you know what can happen! You shouldn't penalize an innocent child for your mistake. Give it up for adoption to a family who will actually care, love, and take care of it. I know how you feel. I was contimplating an abortion with my third pregnancy, and I looked up info online about it. I decided I wasn't going to have one, and now I have a baby girl that is 7 months old. (plus 2 older boys)
I know you feel like you can't afford it, and it maybe isn't the right time for it, but we couldn't afford it, either, and believe me, it seems that God always provides for us, we always seem to get everything they need. You can shop garage sales for nice clothes, cribs, etc and you can shop on Ebay, you can go to thrift stores as well.
Besides, I read that most women that go into having an abortion go into the clinic thinking this is their only option, but walk out feeling like, "What have I done?"

If you can't afford it, give it up for adoption. At least, the baby will be raised in a loving home that can afford it. If you really want to keep the baby, get some help. Talk to your parents. Sign up for the insurence paid for by the government and get on WIC. Next time, use birth control. You might want to check with your family doctor and there might be a clinic he is aware of that basis it on your income. There are alot of free clinics and health dept that go by your income and some will even do it free if you have no money! I had an abortion a few years ago, and it didnt cost me anything. Mind you, I live in Canada. I had a friend who went to the states for an abortion because she was too far along to legally get one in Canada, so maybe you can find a way to swindle that... see if you can come to Canada for one somehow and you might not have to pay for it. normal your heath insurance will cover it. or you can get help from the state to help you pay for it.
