Should a 12-year old be put on birth control pills?Explain your response.?
Answer:
No because by doing that the parent is abrogating their responsibility to raise the child according to proper standards of decency and behavior. The parent needs to inform the child of the consequences of her disobedience and place restrictions on her freedoms if she doesn't acknowledge the parents authority. If that doesn't happen then the parent has taken the first step on a very slippery slope where the child becomes the determiner of what behavior she will engage in.
Birth control pills don't protect from STD's nor from the psychological consequences of engaging in unmarried sexual intercourse at such a young age.
If the child becomes pregnant then she will have to learn from the consequences of her disobedience and that may save her from worse consequences down the line.
CEV Proverbs 23:13 Don't fail to correct your children. You won't kill them by being firm, (14) and it may even save their lives.
Other Answer:
Yes. Better safe than sorry.
Personally. No!
12 year old should NOT even be sexually active. Should be out enjoying school / friends and all the things pre-teen kids enjoy doing.
I'm not a doctor, so you might want to check up on whether the chemicals used in the contraceptive pill might cause havoc with someone so young? If there's no danger in that respect, then from a safety stand point, yes it's probably a good idea, but I would be more concerned as to why a 12 y.o is having sex at all, and then make sure she knows that she MUST use a condom at all times because she doesn't know where the boys have been. Also, who is she having sex with? If they're over 16 it's rape. Keep that in mind ppl. I'M TIRED OF YOU PEOPLE AND YOUR ESSAYS!! &$%#@^!
No. She is too young. I was on it and it makes your body go through many changes. You even experience pregnant symptoms. I hated the feelings, and I'm 19, now a 12 year old is too young and shouldn't experience that. Well, she shouldn't even be experiencing sex. Send her to an all girl school :0)
Yes, but she should be told of the importance of using condoms as well. In a perfect world a 12-year-old wouldn't be having sex in the first place, but this world isn't perfect. It's better for her to be on birth control than to be pregnant.Well, when I was 12 my dermitoligist(sp?) put me on birth control because I had really bad acne, and my face cleared up instantaniously(sp?) How stupid!! Not to be mean. But hell naw, the girl is only 12 and shouldnt be having sex!!!!!!
if takin birth control pills at an early age hav advantages so does it hav disadv later , later it would be difficult to conceive....also u might become resistant to da pills....
Oh my GOD! 12 years old! She needs to be on birth control, She needs counseling along with her mother. There is something in here life that she is lacking. She needs to be told about STD's and the seriousness of her actions. She should have to take care of a real baby for at least 12 hours, so that she knows of possible consequences. No, a 12 year old girl should not even be having sex...She should wait for the right person or someone that she thinks is the right person...Putting her on birth control pills give her a reason to go have sex so really its not protecting her from anything but getting pregnant...She can still get STD's and other nasty uncrueable things. But that is just my opinion... Twelve years old is incredibly young to be having sexual intercourse with anyone. However, if she is going to give in to the pressure of today's times, I suggest that she be put on birth control. Of course, there are numerous other reasons why someone would want to be on birth control. Regulation of periods, decreased menstrual cramps and the list goes on and on. I am not a mother, so I cannot see this from a mother's stand point. If the child was already sexually active, I would definitely put her on birth control or have someone take her if I was worried that someone would see me and talk down to me for it.
As much as every one shouts and holler about a 12 year old girl shouldn't be having sex, the fact of the matter is that there are many young girls doing it. As soon as we get past that ignorance, lets get to the question at hand. Any one who is sexually active and want to prevent pregnancy should be but on some sort of contraceptive, whether it be pills, the shot, condoms, anything that helps. So I think if she's doing it, it's better to educate her about protecting and preventing, rather than have her sneak around with her youthful ignorance and get into a problem later on like pregnancy.
having sex at such a young age is not a good idea in the first place it can cause mild dysplasia...which is irregular cells of your reproductive system...but if a 12 year old has already been having sex, then yes, she should go on birth control.I would hate to see a 12 year old on birth control ... but if she is going to have sex no matter what then yes I would
but really should be using protection ..... its not only having a baby you have to worry about these days ...S.T.D
Depends on the reason.
If its cause she's going to have sex - no and yes. She shouldn't need it at that age! But if she insists and its a matter of life and death then yes.
Regulate periods - Sure, but ask a doctor first.
Acne - Maybe - doctor's opinion first. Yes so this way her mother can hope that she wouldn't have to hear that her daughter is going to have a baby at such a young age
