@ what age should teens be able to drive or get a car of their own?

My son is 12 and once in a while we take him out 2 show him how to drive..that does not mean his gonna get 2 drive a car @ 12 or even 14. He may end up gettn a car until his a Jr or Sr in HS. Its always good 2 know how 2 drive jus incase of an Emergency.

When they have a job and can afford to buy it themselves, and be able to afford the insurance also. When they have to pay for it themselves they will take better care of it.

I think as long as your child is old enough to have a legitimate license and u trust them enough to put them behind the wheel of something u put your money into then they should be able to drive and have a car of their own.
