what are some of the reasons to why teen mothers are becoming younger in the United States?

1. Society has taken the rights away from parents. They say "You have to control your children but you cannot hurt them physically, mentally or emotionally" (This is in relation to spanking)
2. Parents aren't teaching children any self respect, discipline and boundaries. They allow them to 'rule' the house.
3. Some parents have no guts to stick up to their children and discipline them. They think that children will love them more and talk to them more openly if they were 'friends' and not 'parents'
4. Children have been given too much power.
5. Children think that it is fun to have sex and don't think of the consequences of their actions.
6. Boys think that it is cool to bed as many girls as possible and do so without any thought.
7. Girls think that in order for them to be liked by boys they have to have sex with them.
8. The breakdown of family values. With divorce increasing, the children are at times left home alone because mum/dad (who ever is the carer for the child)is out working 2-3 jobs 'just to make ends meet'.
9. Kids aren't allowed to be kids anymore. We push them to be the BEST that they can be, all because of our insecurities.
10. Children are bored. Home alone because of the 'two income' trap. Parents (and society in general) think that if we give our children every thing that they want that that will make them happy. They believe that a nice (most of the time expensive/beyond their means) house, a nice big car and every material possession on earth, is what they need. This is not true. Children need supervision, guidelines and love and care. How can we provide them with these things if both parents are NOT at home but working and out of the house for more than 10 hours a day?

Parents won't talk to kids about sex and protection and birth control.kids are learning on their own.

bc teen girls want to grow up so fast been there done that. The answer isn't sex. Having a baby isn't that cool having an education and career to prvide for a child is.
Parents can raise their kids the right way, But its up to the child to listen and learn. It just gos both ways...
