last night i had sex with my boyfriend without a condom ive been on ortho trycyclin lo for a month and a week i couldnt of gotten pregnant could i? i mean i kno theres always a chance but how likely?

Well, did you stop taking the pills? If you aren't taking them any longer, then you can get pregnant fairly easily, especially as you weren't on them for very longer. You should take your pills for several full cycles before having unprotected sex.

Also, pills do not protect you from disease like AIDS, herpes and other STD's.

I think pills are 98% effective, but if you are taking antibiotics or certain medications then pills are not effective at all and the chance of pregnancy really goes up.

I know a woman who used both an IUD and been on the pill who got pregnant.

I've also known two women who've become pregnant while taking the pill - one because she was on antibiotics.

Anytime you have sex, you can get pregnant, no matter what protection you use.

If you are pregnant, staying on the pill will cause birth defects.
