Ladies is it okay to drink coffee while pregnant?
Answers: I went to two doctors to clear sure I knew what I could drink when I was prego because I own 2 coffee shops and involve to be able to sample the products. Both doctors told me that it is okay within moderation. I was advised to stick to no more than 2 coffees a afternoon (which is 4 shots of espresso a day) and to remember to drink enough water if I be drinking my coffee.
Drip coffee actually has for a time more caffeine then espresso, so I would try not to drink too many cups of that. Just remember moderation is the push button, decaf does have traces of caffeine as well.
One serving of coffee per afternoon should be the limit, according to numerous studies and doctors. One serving equals 8 ounces.
Please remember that if you are BUYING these iced coffees, they are most likely 1 1/2 to 2 servings EACH. So you are getting passageway more caffeine than you should be.
So early in your pregnancy, this really does increase your probability of miscarriage.
Later in your pregnancy, drinking caffeine at this rate causes low birth freight and possibly caffeine addiction in your newborn, who will experience withdrawals.
Please switch one of those iced coffees to decaf, or find something else that's nice and cold to drink. It's a short time ago not worth it.
I think you should have decaf. and on some days own 1/2 and 1/2 (decaf and regular mixed) for one cup of the day and the other decaf. Also don't overload on the sugar or anything. I am also addicted to coffee so I would drink regular occasionally and decaf more often. my doctor told me that one cup of coffee a hours of daylight is ok but anymore then that could cause problems. Im not a big coffee drinker anyway but i dont see how it would mete out problems..i dont think any two doctors will agree about this subject so as long as you be aware of fine and then baby is hygienic id say your ok :)
within great moderation, I would stick to 2 cups or less, maybe do it partly caffeinated. Caffeine increases the risk of miscarriage.
If you are anything like most pregnant women, morning sickness will kick contained by and you will be put off by coffee for the next few months!!
My doctor told me 1 cup of coffee a daytime is fine, but my sister-in-law's doctor told her not to have any. More than that can double your chances of a miscarriage. I instinctively would switch to decaf just to be sure. well i own a tea usually every day..and i also love iced coffee..i have hear over and over again that pregnant women should not drink coffee...but it is one of those things that can't convince me or make me decide to stop it..worthy luck!
Googling it brings up that research has found up to 4 cups of coffee a day have no significant impact on your baby. i had a caramel frap from starbucks in advance, and walked into my doctors office near it. they laughed... it was my first appetite of coffee since i became preggo, i closed my eyes on the first sip, and just sit back. it was glory. oh man. :D
