If my dad have a compatible twin are my probability of have twins elevated?
Answers: Identical twins are not genetic...fraternal twins are...identical twins are by chance.
Anything can justification for a large tummy at 10 weeks and not just twins. Your probability are about the same as everyone else - if here are fraternal twins in the family it is complex.
Nope. The gene that causes a woman to have twins 1) solitary applies to FRATERNAL twins, where more then one egg is released. Identical twins are nor inherent and 2)It only runs on the mothers side, i.e. your mother, your grandmother, etc.
You would have to be genetically predisposed to releasing more tehn one egg at a time and with the sole purpose the females in the family slip away on that gene and even that is being disputed. It may not even be heritable after all.
Identical's aren't genetic, they're a mutation of the cells during the first few weeks of gestation. Fraternal twins can be genetic, though as women age we are more prone to dropping more that one egg per cycle. I hold fraternal twins and did a lot of research when I was pregnant on the subject of the various types of twins. I was amazed by some of the information. Identical twins are not passed down genetically. They are a fluke. My husband have identical twin sisters, so I researched this. Only non-identical/fraternal twins are passed genetically. If the woman has a history of them surrounded by her family, there is an increased probability that she will ovulate more than one egg and bring back twins.
No, only fraternal twins run in the family unit. Being an identical twin is a spontaneous "freak" accident, so to speak. There is no genetic predisposition. Yes, i reason so
theres a 50/50 chance but more with you because your dad have twins so... yes i belive soo you have a high unpredictability as it might run in the family
What do you hope for?
right luck ;)
It's possible but not definetly meaning your going to have twins.I hope your have twins since you want them! there is a small possibility, you might be a carrier so your kids might own twins and not you
well the chances are not totally high it depends on the male anyways 11.45%
