Do you hold any hints in the region of anyone within Labour?

What type of labour were you contained by and what helped for the pain?

Answers:    I have 4 home births. If it is an option in your birth, use positions to releive headache. On my hands and knees was the best. Being contained by the supine position (on your back with legs surrounded by air) is a very new concept and one and only done for the benefit of the doctors to have easy access, it does nought for the mother. Hands and knees opens up 30% more room for the baby to come through and uses gravity. You dont enjoy to push at all in this position, your contractions are designed to push the baby out on their own, and in this position they do a moment ago that and releive the pressure off of your bottom, preventing tearing. All of my kids be on the large side. My biggest was 9lb 8 oz. I never have the slightest tear at all within this position.
I was induced and got to 5cm earlier trying the gas which didn't work, while getting to 5cm i was sitting on an exercise ball i after got an epidural and found out i was 10cm i be lucky to have got the epidural as i be very dilated already. Once i had the epidural the discomfort stopped and i felt "pressure" downstairs and it was time to push, i pushed when the epidural wore rotten. What else helped me get through be support from my Mum and partner and also a great midwife! I had an epidural at seven centimeters dialated and only experienced two unyielding labour contractions. A lot of ppl told me epidurals cause support pian later on. This just isn't true. Back distress is caused by over exertion during pushing and this can be lessened by the epidural because the doc/midwife tells you when to push instead of you passion the need and just going for it.
powerfully with my first born i had to be induced..so i be really weary..but actually i have a pretty good experience. I got an epideral when i be around 5cm only for it to wear off..so done up getting another at 9cm...so i went through a good module of my labor w/no pain control..but was glad within a way i had the fate to experience "natural labor" for a bit..I'm 39 wks preg w/my second child and plan to have an epideral again... they also give me meds in my IV before i recieved my first epideral which help ALOT..u still feel the contractions but it def takes the frame off! All my labours be different but the two best things i did were to have a nice relaxing heat bath or shower (it helped luxury the pain) and to also keep on the move, it helps grind to progress..
