Can a urinary tract infection hurt my kid during pregnancy?

I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow. I am pretty sure I have a urinary tract infection. I constantly have the urge to urinate , but I when I move about to the restroom I can only go a touch bit at a time and it burns. Since it is Sunday I didn't think I needed to take on the spot action. I have be drinking lots of cranberry juice and water for immediately. Will it be okay to just call the doctor tomorrow? Or can my tot be harmed? Also are urinary tract infections more common during pregnancy? Just wondering because I've never had one. My sister told me that it sounded close to one and to drink the cranberry juice. Thanks!

Answers:    first you need to be in motion to the doctor...I would go to my OB...and yes it can affect the baby at some point if it doesn't capture taken care of...it can hurt you if it doesn't get taken caution of...make sure you don't get a kidney infection...Good luck...
Tomorrow should be soon satisfactory. It will not harm you or the baby unless you don't gain it taken care of. If it spreads to your kidney's that is exceedingly bad, and it can also cause preterm labor. Prompt attention and antibiotics will gross sure you and your baby are safe though. It is fundamentally common for women to get these during pregnancy because the tot sits on the bladder and it cannot fully empty or get flushed out. That allows the microbes to just sit there and spread. Great that you are drinking cranberry liquid it is a natural way to assist a urinary infection but you need to have it confirmed and treated next to antibiotics. There is always a chance that you can verbs an infection to the baby or the amniotic fluid surrounding your baby. If you can't see the doctor to sunshine go to you local emergency room, urgent care or clinic for treatment. Better locked then sorry, good luck. Women tend to bring more UTI's then men so make sure you wipe properly and pee after sex.
If it go untreated, yes it can be harmful to the baby. Uti's are adjectives in pregnancy. You should be okay until tomorrow but make sure you follow up near your doctor.

BTW, the kidneys are included in the urinary tract. If left untreated a uti can front to sepsis.
Sure.urinary tract infections are one of those little "pains" that pregnant women have to deal next to sometimes! Relax hon and call the Dr. in the morning and he/she will nick care of that so it won't cause you any probs!
Make sure to step to the Doc, regardless:)) you need to see your doctor right away it sounds like a uti. if you don't acquire it taken care of the infection could get to your kidneys. preserve doing wwhat you are doing and see the doctor asap as you need antibiotics
If you leave the UTI untreated it can produce problems. Your best bet is to get some meds from your dr and treat it as soon as you can. the baby will not be harmed unless you do not take it taken care of with antibiotics. It can turn into a kidney Infection and REALLY hurt both of you.
reach a deal to your dr...he knows your history and is the only one whose answer you should follow you have need of to get on antibiotics ASAP. The cranberry juice is a preventative, not a cure. There are enzymes within cranberries that prevent the growth of bacteria, but won't stop it. You need to wipe it out next to antibiotics so it doesn't turn into a kidney infection. Remember, any infection you have when pregnant is potentially harmful to the child, just like anything you devour or drink.

When you have an infection, water is better than cranberry liquid. Also, pregnant women are much more likely to get infections. You can prevent them beside lots of water, taking showers instead of baths, limiting your soda and caffeine intake, wearing cotton undies, and peeing before and after sex.

Congrats on your pregnancy and pious luck!
