how overdue do you have to be for them to induce you?
Answers:
your normal age of gestation ranges from 38 weeks to 42 weeks. when you reach you 43rd week, you'll have to deliver your baby as soon as possible because your placenta will begin to deteriorate so that it won't be able to function well and your baby won't get enough nourishment... also, your baby could already passed his stool or meconium, this will contaminate the amniotic fluid (the fluid surrounding the fetus), there will be a high possibility that your baby can ingest some of this contaminated amniotic fluid that could lead to systemic infection, endangering his life so induced labor or even cesarian section is done to save the baby...

think its 10 to 14 days Its about two weeks at the outside. That has been my experience with my two friends who were induced.
too f***ing long
two weeks i think
it depends. my first daughter was 10 days late, and i was totaly miserable, no sleep, no food, i was like a fat zombie lol. but my second daughter was induced at 37 wks, because she was so big, and i had already given birth once, so my obgyn trusted my instincts.
congrats and good luck
hey moneybags...i suggest you take all your money, and take a class on childbirth. they hardly ever induce on your due date, the final trimester "ends" when the baby is born, but full term is 40 wks, not 35 darlin. and the most common way of inducing is with petocen, not an epidural. and epidural is a drug that is injected into your spine to ease the pain of contractions. sheesh.
and not all babies who don't cry have a breathing problem. sometimes they just don't want to cry, dammit lol
