Home preg test -- keep getting neg results?
Is it normal to still get a negative result 5 weeks after having sex?
On May 17, ten days after what could be conception (May 7), I experienced some pinkish spotting that was indentical to what I experienced before I knew I was pregnant with my daughter 2 yrs ago. (I think it was implantation bleeding.) But 2 days later I started having period-like bleeding, but it was intermittent, unlike any period I've ever had before. I know you can still have periods while pregnant.
Anyhow, now I have sore breasts. And I can't prove it but I think i've gained a little weight already. I've been having weird little twinges and pangs in my abdomen but maybe I'm just being paranoid.
What do you think?? Anyone have similar experiences? When is the latest you can still get negative results and still be pregnant?

With my second child i had negative test tell i was 3 months preg. Ask your doc about an ultrasound (sorry can't spell very good) That should tell you for sure.

you could ask for a blood test by your dr. 5 weeks after conception they should be able to tell without question.
No, i've never had any experiences like that. Never been pregnant actually. ...but do you think you may be thinking about it too much? perhaps you're noticing the smallest things because you're so focused on finding them. if it's a real concern for you, you should consult your doctor. HPT's can be negative for some time. You could always ask the dr for a blood test that is the most positive way.
BUT stress and worrying about being pregnant can make you feel pregnant... so maybe that could be it too!
did you get a blood test when you went to the dr?? Yes girl, you can still be pregnant because when I was pregnant my period was seven days late and i was taking home pregnancy test and they were all coming out negative. I did not find out I was pregnant until I was five and a half weeks.
Sometimes it takes a while for the test to pick up HCG levels in your urine. I also had implantation bleeding. (but not the other that you said). Sometimes your intuition can tell you youre pregnant early...and sometimes if you want to be pregnant really bad your mind can play tircks on you...The best advice I can give you is to keep taking tests or wait untill time for your next period, then if you miss it try another test. Tell your doctor whats going on and he may order a blood test to determine if you are pregnant that way. My neighbor had the same issue as you. She had implantation bleeding...then 2 light periods (2 and a half months after conception) before a test finally came out positive. Just hang in there. Also, if you think you are pregnant go ahead and start taking vitamins and eating healthy just as if you knew for sure you were, just incase you are. If not, at least youre on the safe side, no harm done. Best wishes.
