I believe 13 weeks is way too early...the baby is still tiny...I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I didnt feel my baby move until almost 20 weeks... you're probably just feeling gas bubbles.

feels like gas

I did, but not on my first pregnancy.

That early it usually feels like a quick vibration. The best way I can think to describe it is when a beeper or cell phone is set on vibrate.

You are not feeling it move. Maybe gas but I think its your imangination I could be the first flutters of movement (called quickening). Quickening can be felt between the 14th and 26th week. If it is your first pregnancy you probably won't feel it until 22nd week. But it still could be gas, pregnancy produces a lot of gas in some women!

At that early stage, it could be just gas, but from my many years of clinical experience, I can tell you that at times, movement of the fetus can be felt...we've seen proof positive. Oftentimes, during a sonogram, staff could see the little one move and the mother'd say she felt the movement. She couldn't see the sonogram screen so that wouldn't cue her to "think" she felt what she really didn't. We were perfecly comfortable with the knowledge that she felt what she said she felt. No, it was nowhere near as dramatic a movement as one could expect at 20 weeks or more, but hey - all we really cared about was the birth of a healthy baby to a healthy mommy!

lol i was always confused when i felt my babies move for the first time.it feels like gas but in away. but have you ever blew bubbles and one lightly rubbed against you before it popped? then thats what it feels like to me.
the first time i wasnt sure and i asked my husband at that time to put his ear down on my stomach to see if he heard gas or what ever and my baby kicked the **** out of his face lol. then we knew It is very unlikely. The uterus hasn't moved above the pelvic bones so it is not pressing on your muscles in that way. Also, the baby is still small enough to move around inside a goose's egg and the arms and legs don't have enough force to be felt. In fact they rarely make contact with the uterine wall at this point. However, I suppose it is possible. Every pregnancy is different.

I'm 14 weeks now and last week I was bending over and felt a light fluttering in my lower abdomen. It was probably a tick in one of my muscles, though.

Pregnacy Journal. What to expect when you're expecting. Various websites. I think it all just depends on a few things, like what # of pregnancy is this, your size, and how in tune you are with your body.
My first pregnancy i didn't feel him move till i was about 16 weeks along, and with my second i felt him moving at about 12 weeks. With this pregnancy i felt him moving at about 9 weeks.
I was told with this pregnancy that there was no way i was feeling him move because i was only 9 weeks, but they did an ultrasound at 10 weeks and when i told them i thought i just felt him they said that yes he was moving. I could not see the screen so there was no way for me to see him moving. i am 11 weeks pregnant and i felt it flutter at 10 weeks it feels like some one is ticking you, they say that every pregancy is different
