I have also had 2 c-sections, and had a horrible reaction to the medication, Morphine, they gave me with the first. I would express your concerns with your doctor, and tell them about your allergic reaction.

Since the reaction was to the spinal, they will most likly put you to sleep with the next c-section. It will be the same process as the first, except you will be asleep. I was asleep during my first c-section, and awake for the second.

They will also cut you in the same manner as the first. So, if your first was a horizontal, they will do it again, just a tad bit above the old scar. Trust me, a few weeks fews after the c-section, it doesnt even loko like you have 2 scars, it just looks like one scar.

Being put to sleep sounds scary, but its pretty safe. They will put a mask of a certain type of oxygen over your face, and tell you to count to 100. It took me a matter of seconds to fall asleep. You will probably wake up about 1 hour after the surgery, but still be pretty tired for a few days. They will ahev to put a tube in yout throat, to make sure you continue breathing. They do this once you have fallen asleep, so you wont feel it. But, because of it, you may cough for a few days after wards.

Other than that, you can pretty much expect the same thing. Good luck!

just let your dr. know about the allergic reaction and they can change the mediciine for you. also, they will use the same incision.

good luck!

I had 2 C-sections...they gave me a spinal both times and they cut me across in the same place, however, it takes a little longer because of scar tissue. The reaction that I had with my second one was dry heaves for a couple of hours. Not fun but when I saw my baby girl all those yucky feelings went away. Best Wishes to you and your family!! !!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!

sorry no idea <3

They're probably gonna put you to sleep. That's dangerous to have an allergic reaction, unless they can give you something for it during birth.

Im not sure about the cut. You should ask your doctor.

Congrats and Good luck!

You will cut in the same incision...I myself had two c-sections. Just tell your doctor that were allegic to the medicine they gave you the last time so he could not use that one....contratulation on the new baby! I have 4 children but never had a c-section...so I don't know about that, sorry. But I did want to wish you the very best, and tell you that my sweet youngest son turns 7 on May 26--wonderful B-day:)

tell yor doctor that you had a reaction to the medication the first time and if there is anything else you can take.

They will cut u the same way they did last time and you could request to be put to sleep but usually dr's dont like to do that. They rather u be conscious. As for the spinal they gave you... they will be pretty much doing the same procedure they did last time. Just make sure u let them know that you had an allergic reaction last time... VERY IMPORTANT!

good luck! :)

If you got an allergic reaction last time, they most likely won't give you another one. {If they are the same doctors or know about your reaction} They would put you to sleep if you ask to be. As for incisions, they discovered they can be horizontal. So it will most likely be horizontal, if you are that concerned about it, request that it be horizontal. The worse they could say is no. I had my twins on May 26th 2003..... But they will probably give you the same stuff in the spinal area, OR you can request that you go to sleep, but then you'll muss the birth of your baby =[ they will/should cut you in the same area, on the same scar, but you should really be asking you OB-GYN these questions. CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!!!
Good Luck.

I had an allergic reaction the first time, too. It's pretty funny to watch the video from afterward - I don't remember scratching that much. They gave me a shot of Benadryl and that seemed to help a lot. They used the same spinal with the second one and I didn't itch at all that time. Weird, but that's the way it worked out.

Also, they used the same incision line for the second one so I've just got the one scar (horizontal).

They will change what they give you and they will cut you in the same place. I had my 2nd c section on may 26th last year... I also had the same reaction (itching) both times. But they typically like you to be awake for faster recovery from surgery. They have meds they can give you for the itching. But, you can make your own medical decisions so you can actually request another form of anesthesia. Also, the doctor cut right above my old c section scar.
