How far along were you when you found out the sex of the baby?

I am almost 19 weeks. My next appt. is May 8 & my doc said she would do another unltrasound during that visit. I also have an appt for a sonogram on May 22....in which I have to arrive with a full bladder...What is the purpose of that? and what is the difference between an ultrasound & sonogram? Is one more accurate? Also, to be so far along..it doesn't even look like im pregnant! I kind of feel like im missing out. People look at me like im retarded when I tell them i am pregnant. lol

The purpose of the full bladder is so that it will push the baby up so they can get a better view of everything. An ultrasound and sonogram are the same thing. I found out the sex of my baby at 28 weeks Don't worry about showing with my first daughter I didn't show in til I was 8 months along

20 to 25 weeks if the baby is in the right position then they can probly tell.

I found out later in my pregnancy because they were looking for 2 of whatever, in my case, they were girls, but in yours, you should find out anywhere between 4-6 months, they should be able to tell now. ultra sound is when they just check the babys heart beat and zonogram is when they see the baby u kno lik what its doin lol wel thats wat i think....lol

i found out the sex of my baby while i was lik 4 months but thats beacuse i took the test to c if he had down syndrom (which thank god he doesnt)

dont worry i was lik 6 months when i started to really show and im still skinny lol u cant tel my pregnant from the back lol

Honestly, I don't know the difference in an ultrasound and a sonogram--i feel stupid, but I can tell you that i was very small before i got pregant and it took me a while to show also. You shouldnt worry--just wait it will seem like it hits you all of a sudden one day.i think it was around 5 1/2 to 6 months when i really started showing to everyone else.

16 weeks is the time u can find out, although some sonographers wont tell u believe it or not. I had to beg to find out because someone had tried to sue her before (pathetic hey!) I always thought they were the same thing, just using a different frequency, I had to have a full bladder for the ultrasound, almost killed me! she made me empty it 4 time because she couldnt see anything.
I know how u feel not showing I was tiny till I was about 7 months and felt like buying a shirt that said "Im pregnant not just chubby", yep that looking fat not preggie stage really sucked but u will wake up one morning and think how the hell did that get there.
