I am 8 months preg. When my baby moves I feel like my cervix is opening. Why?

I am 8mths myself and feel the same thing. I told my dr that if he gets any further down he is going to fall out!! My dr said it was ok. I have also been told that the baby is pushing on the pelivc floor if you are getting sharp pains down there like me that is the cause of that. Just be carful that you time anything that feels like a contraction or any of those "weird" feelings you may get. If they become regular call your doc.

because you are getting further along and as the baby drops it puts pressure on your cervix.....and it will start to soften so you can prepare to give birth..
your baby is getting in position so it is pushing down so it feels like it will fall out but it wont
