I heard it takes 9 months for a healthy couple to concieve a baby, is this true? if so,how did I get pregnant?

Question: My fiance and I were not trying to have a baby, we only recently had unprotected sex 3 times after my period. But if its true that it takes 9 months then how would I be pregnant?
