Is it normal for my baby not to move for a couple of days? I'm really worried.?

Question:
I felt him a time or two yesterday and today, but that's it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Answers:
some babies are less active than others while in the womb. my first baby move around all the time even when i was sleeping, but with my second baby i was concerned just like you, because he didn't move very much at all. my doctor said it is normal for some babies to be very active and some not so active. but if you are to concerned, call or go to your doctor!

me I was paranoid about this throughout my later pregnancy. I'd feel him once or twice some days, other days not at all and some days he just wouldn't stay still. I had a lot of complications and had to go into the hospital every 2 days for a CTG which was a relief to find out that he was ok. I am sure your baby is probably fine but you should call your doctor if you are really worried and you could think about hiring a doppler so you can hear the heart beat whenever you want to,it might make you less worried. Next time I get pregnant I might just do that myself because I know what you are feeling and I wouldn't want to experience it again.

it's died now

Go to your doctor today if you have any concerns.

How far along are you? Babies don't have much room to move in the last few weeks of pregnancy, so they don't do the violent kicks and turns they did before. It could be that he's moving while you are active and you just don't notice it as much.

Eat something sweet (like chocolate) and lie down on your left side. See if you feel at least 3 movements in 1/2 an hour. If not, drink something sweet and try again. If you still don't feel anything, call the doctor right away.

You should be able to feel at least 3 movements at least 3 times a day.

Remember that as the baby gets bigger, it has less space to move around, but you should still feel some movement.
