13 weeks pregnant, havent had nipple rings for about 1 1/2 years. How will this affect breast feeding?

I took my peircings out about 3 months after they were peirced and they are completely closed now. I really want to breastfeed my baby but I am scared I wont be able to are my holes going to open back up?

Answers:
My friend had her nipple pierced and she breast fed just fine. No problems!!! Just dont wear the ring LOL. She wears her ring now that her kids are done breastfeeding. Good Luck! The hole is probably still there but there is a little layer of skin over it that keeps you from putting the ring in. That layer will grow back if it breaks open.
Dont Worry

Other Answers:
Shouldn't be a problem.. if the holes have healed, then they shouldn't open back up..
I think you should be able to breastfeed. If the holes have closed up, they are not likely to open again because to your body they were a wound which it has healed. You might want to be extra careful though if you get tender just in case.
it will not effect at all
It's best to take them out. It's hard enough in some cases for the baby to get good suction. You don't want to make it even harder on the baby. and there's always choking risk. Just take them out and get them done again after you're done breast feeding.
You're are going to have to take them out anytime you want to breastfeed which can be a nusance. But, as long as your milk ducts aren't damaged you should be fine. One thing that that might happen is your baby can show signs of reflux, like fussyness while feeding and excess gas, but it could be that you are sxpressing too much milk and your baby can't keep up. Good Luck!

you should be just fine if the piercings were not infected either earlier or at removal. but you should probably know that worrying about breast-feeding is gonna make it worse. keep positive and give yourself biofeedback. picture yourself nursing the baby as you drift off to sleep... :-)
i had my breast pierced i took it out for a year wile breast feeding the hole was still open after that so put it back in i had no problems at all so you should definitely be fine if the hole has healed
