12 days late..negative test results..wouldn... a preg. test know for sure by now?..im very confused please help?

i had alot of unprotected sex during my suspected ovulation time and am now 12 days late..i took an ept on thurs. and its sunday now..anyways thurs was a little over a week after my expected period and i was wondering..wouldnt the test have been able to pick up my pregnancy if i was? less then a week after my ovulation period i threw up out of nowhere and have slept for what feels like allll month and i got up to pee 5 times last night. but ive done alot of research and from what im gathering..i shouldnt be having symptoms like that this early on..or am i not understanding?..should i make an appointment and do a blood test or should i just wait another month and see if my period comes?

Don't wait a month, because you'll be stressed out a lot by it, and that itself can make you late. All I'd say is wait maybe a week more, take some more tests, and if still negative, the safest thing to do is go to the Dr. and get a blood test.

My wife has been late by about the same margin before, which shouldn't have happened, as she's had a tubal ligation to prevent it from happening again. EPT's, while normally accurate, aren't fool-proof, as can be said for any form of testing. It *can* be caused by stress, but I've always gone by the saying "Better safe than sorry." So, in a nutshell, I would get the blood test(s) done for the added accuracy, but, that is just me.

I think it is better to get a test from any pharmacy.Or even better make an appointment and check it.It is better to be sure to know what what is going to happen.

well...its possible that you are pregnant, but these tests are usually very relaible. When you are pregnant you produce a hormone, and that is what the pregnancy test detects in your urine. Everyday , this hormone is doubled....which is why the later you take the test, the more accurate. Its possible that the pregnancy test was old or didn't work properly, but there is always the chance that you arn't pregnant, and there is something else that is causeing your period to be misses, or to be late, not always serious things, such as stress. I suggest that you take another pregnancy test and make an appointment with your dr. One way or another you'll have to see him/her.

You are 90% pregnant. You have the symptoms, you had unprotected sex, its unlikely that its something else...

What to do:

Get another urine test, take the morning urine (contains more HCG-hormones).

Make a doctors appointment a.s.a.p. no matter what the result is.

Wait for your doctor to confirm the pregnancy with a blood test before you tell everybody.

My dr. said that sometimes the hormone level while pregnant will be too low to register on the pregnancy tests. So you should go the dr. and see what they think. If you wait, the stress from not knowing can cause you to be even later.
