my daughter refuses to keep her...............

she is 11 months and at night she takes off her diaper and ends up peeing and poopin in her crib, is this a sign to start potty training? any opinions?

Answers:
to some infants its a a game to see if the can do it. or just like it off when the are dirty. my daughter will scream bloody murder with a dirty bottom. so most kids are different in to many ways. try putting the zipper pj on at night that might help keeping them on. gl

i dont no i dont think so you should talk to a mom or something No, I don't think its a sign to start potty training.

Are you using a diaper that is the right size for her? Perhaps its uncomfortable to her. Have you tried a different type or size? Have you tried putting plastic training pants on for the overnight?

Another thing--is she getting enough food to eat in the evening to keep her from waking up in the night because she's hungry? When she wakes up she takes off her diaper?

At any rate, just some guesses to help you out.

11 mos is a little early for potty training, IMO. My son liked to remove his diaper, too. I would try putting a tee shirt with snaps on the crotch on her to sleep in. It's kind of hard for them to get those off. If you have a potty chair maybe encourage her to sit on it or take her the same time you go. Does seem young but its not unlikely or unheard of. a family from my church had their children potty trained by 18mths. and not by force. most likely she will show signs of interest or curiosity to try. maybe use a pullup for a couple nights while you do a sleep over in the living room with potty chair in hand to see. otherwise my son loved his body pj's kept whole body warm at night!
