10 Years old, started throwing fits again.?

MY NEPHEW IS HAVING A HARD TIME WITH THE SPLIT UP OF HIS PARENTS AND HAS STARTED THROWING FITS AGAIN, CRYING REALLY LOUD AND DOING ALOT OF POUTING. HOW CAN I HELP HIM HANDLE HIS EMOTIONS BETTER?

Answers:
Let him know that you understand that he is going through a rough time, but to throw fits is not going to help matters any.Try to help him find other outlets to deal with his anger and grief. Have him write his feelings down or draw a picture. Take him on a mini vacation, maybe camping for a weekend. That way he can get away from it for a while and just have fun.

Other Answers:
find him an interest to put time into youll find he will put all his energy into that and will help him deal with things better

his parents should talk to him , keep him the center of thier lives. They should cast thier differences aside for a day and sit down with him and gently explain that he is not to blame for the split and he will be loved no matter what happens between them. try seeing a counsellor in his school. Take him over to the local track and run with him.Tell him that you want him to be as mad as he can be while he is running.
Let him think anything that he wants to,do not let up on the running though.
Do that for a mile, stop and rest.Ask him about his problems and let him talk.
One of his problems will be labored breathing;another one will be that he will be hotter than a firecracker.
It can be a very good way to deal with anger and stress.Talk to him after the run on any subject that interests him.
You will kill two birds with one stone;he will get rid of excess energy and anger and you will become friends.
It will also demonstrate how to handle future frustrations in a very healthy manner.
