I have to agree with blonde mama. I'd bet that about half of those people were just out of condoms, or drunk and didn't think, or had forgotten to take their pills for three days or something like that.
Also, the birth control pills are rated according to their effectiveness in a laboratory environment, where everything is perfectly controlled and there is no margin of error.
Many things can factor into them failing, from taking antibiotics while on the pill, to missing a single pill, to not taking them at the same time everyday (like it's done int he lab testing), to failing to use a back-up method for at least the first month. All of those things are not to be blamed on the manufacturer, but on the user.
i agree and "others" question these women that are getting pregnant saying they need to close there legs ect ect... when in fact they used protection! im pro - choice and if a women got pregnant and didnt want it why should she have to be stuck as a mommy, when her protection failed her? its mind blowing to me!
