my kid is jealous of my daugter's graduation?
Question: my son who is in 5th grade will get his graduation in 6th grade. my daughter just had a graduation party for 8th grade and got a lot of cash. she got a party cuz she went to private school that gave gradutainos in 8th grade and not 6th grade. then she went to a school taht gave graduations in 6th grade and not 8th. thast y she had such a large party and also thats why she got her grad $ in 8th. we tried to tell my son that he will get his $ earlier had than my daughter but he is still very upset what should we do. ( we tried its not that far away and she is older so thats y she gets mroe #)
Answers:
Tell him that this is a life lesson. We don't always get what we want. He will probably sulk for a while, but will get over it. Kids need to learn that they can't always have what they want. His feelings of jealousy are normal but he has to learn to deal with them.
Why not just give them both a party? He still finnished a grade.
