"My Guy". Is it a great name? expecting?

I once watched a show on Oprah about a young guy who she called MyGuy. That boy's story really touched me so much. I cant remember the boy's real name but i have never forgotten the boy. Now i am expecting a baby boy and i want to name him after the boy. He was a little brave boy (unfortunately he passed away). I have decided to name my baby MyGuy. Or if there is anyone there who can translate it in any language that sound nice, please do that. I have tried it in Spanish and Setswana but its long.

Answers:
The choice is entirely up to you but think about when he is in his teens and the male friends will call him MyGuy. It sounds weird for a male to call another male MyGuy. That other little boy had another name so you would not be naming your child after him.

Other Answers:
In Hebrew it could be Gavri, which is a name... (pronounced gah' vree)
sounds like an acceptable name. Very creative. Go for it.
In Hebrew, it could be translated in a number of ways.
(I will capitalize the accented syllable, so you know how to pronounce it.)

Be-NI = My son / my boy; sounds a lot like Benny.

Ba-hu-RI = My guy

Ha-moo-DI or Ha-MOO-di = My cute guy

Na-a-RI = My young guy

Or, as the person above said:

Gav-RI = My man

You can write the names without the dashes. I just included them to help you read the names better.
I respect your feelings on this matter because feelings are subjective. Although I personally don't think that such a name is "fair" to your child, it is not for me to judge. Some kids who are now grown up are named "Elvis" for example because of their parents love for the guy. I call my son my "little buddy." a lot and I love the title, but I wouldn't think of naming him that. I will suggest that you check this out, because I did to TRY to help you:

What I find interesting about this is that this famous song was written and produced by "Smokey Robinson" and it was the last single hit of "Mary Wells." From this you 'could' get creative and have the name of your child be "synonymous" or a derivation of the title "my guy" which would be a good conversation piece - so to speak- if someone asked you why you named your child "Robinson" or "Smokey" or "Wells" or "Robwell" or even "Andante" who were the background singers, Or whatever? Good Luck.
well don't listen to anyone who says they don't like it if you like it and if you have been touch powerfully by that little boy and want that special name for your own little boy then go for it. I like it.
write to Oprah and ask for the kid's name. she'll get it for you
i think my guy is a good name stick with it
Please reconsider. The child will be teased in school all the time.
In Chichewa it will be 'Mwanna' pronounced 'mua' nna
You can call him that as a nick name instead of giving him that as a permanent name even though i had a friend whose name was (W. W Wise) and i did no of a guy named Guy I once dated.
