I just had one in Sept. at 29yrs old -was very nervous reading books about it and soooo scared - if I knew how good I'd feel now I would have done it 5 yrs ago.(endometriosis). My whole body feels healthier. I get sad sometimes I can't have another baby but not enough to make me regret it- I was out of comission for about 2 weeks

I just had one done laproscopically. Piece of cake - no pain just discomfort. No bleeding. Very tired first week but after that I felt great!
I had my hysterectomy 8 months ago. This site was a wonderful blessing I still visit it daily it answers every question i had regarding my hysterectomy. 25 years old total hysterectomy due to severe endometerios and fibroids... I had an abdominal Hysto. The normal recovery is 6-8 weeks. If you are having and abdominal.... you should feel better within a week or 2.... but..... you have to take it easy for the remainder as you still will not be healed.
