how to keep a 2 month old happy?

i am babysitting my friends children. she has twin 1 year old boys and a 2 month old boy. the twins play with my 2 year old. so i have the baby to myself. but the baby is spoiled i think. he wont sit in his bouncer or lay down on the floor. he has to be held and be able to look around at everything. i would like to get housework done too. what can i do with him? everytime i sit him in his carseat he starts crying,

My baby was and is the same way all I can say is try and do it when he is napping. At 2 months he should still be napping alot so you should have a good amount of time it is also pretty young to be "spoiled". Do you keep them all nite too or is it just during the day? That makes a differnce too try and get it done when they aren't there then you can spend time with all the kids. The little one would love to sit and watch the bigger ones. You could try that too see if the bigger ones could entertain the little one just long enmough to side track him from noticing he is somewhere he doesn't want to be. Good luck and have fun.

try one of those low to the ground swings..like the fisher price take along aquarium swing..

my daughter had to be held all the time..and still does! but she loved that lil swing.

or even try a baby carrier..like a snugli/baby bjorn

have u tried a swing,a baby floor gym --if all else fails try a sling &wear him He's too young to be spoiled. That happens at 4 months or later. He may just be insecure and or fussy. It's not okay to let him cry continuously though. Do you have a swing? Works wonders for me..PS, my son HATES his carseat.

He's probably away from mom for the first time. Just hold him and reassure him mom will be back. You can also try singing softly to him.

He is absolutely spoiled. You will need to let him cry it out for a little while in the seat and explain to her what is going on. She wont like what you have to say. But she doesn't realize she makes it harder for anyone else to watch him. You don't have to hold a baby all the time to show it love. It has to learn things on it's own too. If you want to live with it, get one of those carriers you hang on you so he can face out and see while you do things. Good luck.

Do you have a mobile that he can look at? I have one that plays music and lights up and my daughter loves it. You could also try putting a mirror in front of him. Make sure it is not breakable and baby safe. Try bringing him in the room you are cleaning and talk to him while you work. Or let him listen to music. thats a hard one do the three checks 1 if hes hungry. 2 does he need changed 3. sometime just taking a walk out side will calm the baby down. or a fovorite toy. a picture of his mother

You can't spoil a 2 month old. They don't understand that you're a separate person from them and they don't have control of their behavior, so they can't be trained to cry for your attention and they can't be trained to quit crying.

Try wearing the baby in a sling, backpack or frontpack. The backpack is the best if you need to be doing things with your hands or will be working with mild chemicals like spray cleaner. (Don't even try to use chemicals that require gloves with the baby on your back!)

oh thats so hard ,i think he is so used to be held. try to put him in his bed and turn the animal mobile on or put him in his bowncer and let him play with that bar that comes with it. good luck Get a baby sling...you can do your housework and carry him around...happily.

Wow...he must be spoiled!! I'll bet he refuses to walk and talk, won't feed himself, won't dress himself, and won't even do *simple* things like use the bathroom, preferring instead to just ruin his clothes!!

If you are *babysitting*, then sit with the baby. Babies are totally dependent on adults around them. It is unrealistic to expect them to behave like adults. I'll bet even your 2 year old doesn't go out to work everyday!! How do expect an infant to take care of himself?!
