why are almost all babies born with blue eyes?

Answers:
When a baby is first born, the eyes have not fully developed the dark pigment that helps color the eyes and skin. The pigment is called melanin. Caucasian babies often have blue or gray eyes at birth. Around 6 months, eye color begins to develop and will generally be completely developed by 1 year old.

Melanin, the brown pigment molecule that colors your skin, hair, and eyes, hadn't been fully deposited in the irises of your eyes or darkened by exposure to ultraviolet light.
