My 4 month is refusing to nurse on the left side.?
Answers:
Could be sinus- or ear-related. Any other symptoms related to laying on that side of her body?

Some of mine would start that. I just got to where I started them out on the side they did not seem to like. She is going to be hungry, and if all you offer is the one side, she will take it. Of course, then she will start preferring the other side, and you will have to go through the whole thing all over again.

I nursed 8 children.
She might have an ear infection. Some babies present with not wanting to lay or eat on one side. I would have her seen by her doctor.
You can either encourage her to nurse on both sides, or you can just allow her to nurse on one breast only. If you want to try to get her back on the left breast, offer it to her when she's most sleepy and relaxed. She'll be more likely to take it at those times. Let her nurse on it for long periods of time as she goes to sleep.
Sometimes it's just easier to let her nurse on one side only. Your milk will dry up on the left, and there'll be plenty on the right side. (Just like a mother of twins or triplets can nurse both/all babies with two breasts.)
Either way, it will be fine.
i don't like your left side too much either.
MY SON DID THE SAME THING. I ENDED UP HAVING TO PUMP THAT SIDE BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT POSITION I TRIED HE REFUSED.
FIRST I WOULD TRY DIFFERENT POSITIONS. THEN IF THAT DOESN'T WORK TRY PUMPING FOR A WHILE.
For what ever reason she is choosing to nurse on one side maybe that she has fluid in her ear or it may be that she is just going through a phase either way just pump the other side until she resumes taking both sides again, because she will. who ever heard of just letting your one breast dry up if you don't release the milk you may become ill with mastitis.
It might be an ear infection sweetie. I would take her to the doctor just in case. My daughter wouldn't nurse from my right one for a week no matter what I did. So I had to pump that side and just let her drink from the left side. Good luck to you!
You didn't say how long it had been. I know how painful one sided nursing can be though! They are quirky little creatures infants.
If you always/almost always nurse in the same chair/place try switching, maybe something has caught her eye that she really likes looking at that can only be seen if she nurses on the right side. Maybe she has caught on to looking at a certain feature on that side of your face? you might try nursing in an almost completely dark room to avoid any visual stimulation that may be causing it.
In the meantime if you haven't, start pumping that left side. I'm sure you already have, but in case you haven't... Give her some time, keep offering it to her and she may start taking it.
One of mine did that. I ended up nursing him first on that side when he was really hungry. He gave up having preferences after a while.

Try changing the feeding position, you know, there are several ways to make the baby nurse from both sides.
