My baby takes Enfamil Lipil and dont seem to do good w/it what is another good formula that I should try?

My baby is very fussy w/this formula.

Answers:
Fussiness is onlt rarely due to formula problems. It could be colic, in which case you could try every formula on the market. If the doctor OK's it, I would try a soy based formula (like Isomil or Prosobee). Some parents swear by Nestle Good Start or the new Gentlease product from Enfamil. But don't get trapped trying everything on the market.

similac
Try Good Start supreme.
ProSoybee
Aptimil. It's also recommended to be the closest to breast milk and I'm told least likely to upset tummies, that was what I was recommended when I finished breastfeeding and switched to formula, but mine were 4 and 6 months respectively when they stopped? Hope it helps
try a soy based formula and warm ever so slightly
My son will be 4 weeks tomorrow and I had the exact same problem. He was very fussy and had a hard time with gas. We called his pediatrician and they recommended we switch to Enfamil Gentlease -- it is actually for gassy and fussy babies. It is working much better. He still has gas sometimes and we give him baby gas drops when needed to help with that. I would suggest asking your pediatrician about Gentlease
Is there a reason your baby has to have the Lipil formula? If there is then just try the Similac version of it or just go w/ Carnations version. My older 2 were Carnation Good Start babies because it seemed to be the easiest on their tummies. As soon as my little triplet punkins get off the extra calorie stuff they will be Good Start babies too!
similac, or you can go w/ nutramegin. its the enfamil brand but its soy based instead of milk based. my daughter's on alimentum and it works. similac is the maker of that particular formula.
the most gentle formula is NUTRAMIGEN,by enfamil.its lactose free, milk free, soy free, and hypo allergenic.my son had 2 b switched 2 it at 1 month cuz he cdnt keep anythg else down.IT HAS HELPED A LOT.ask ur dr.

Isomil® Advance® Soy Formula with Iron

For babies with fussiness, gas and spit-up.

Every baby experiences fussiness, gas and spit-up sometimes, but for some it is a common occurrence and could indicate a need to change formulas. When you think your baby needs to switch, instead of trying numerous formulas for a solution, Isomil Advance may be the answer.

Many times a soy formula is easier for babies with delicate tummies to digest. Clinical evidence supports that switching to Isomil Advance‡ will reduce fussiness, gas and spit-up in most babies in about three days. Ask your doctor if Isomil Advance is right for your baby.

Symptoms such as excessive fussiness, gas or spit-up may be a sign of sensitivity to milk-based formulas. For common problems like these, doctors often recommend a soy formula, such as Isomil Advance. It's milk-free and lactose-free and provides excellent nutrition throughout the first year of life.

What makes Isomil Advance special?

Isomil Advance was the first soy formula in the U.S. with DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid). DHA and ARA are fatty acids found in human milk that are important for brain and eye development. The brain contains a large amount of both DHA and ARA, and the retina contains a large amount of DHA.

Isomil Advance provides greater calcium absorption1‡ than Enfamil® ProSobee® LIPIL® to help build strong bones. Evidence from clinical studies suggests that the use of palm olein oil in a formula results in less calcium absorption than when other oils are used. 1-3

Isomil Advance, like all Similac Infant Formulas, is made from a blend of vegetable oils with no palm or palm olein oil. Some other soy formulas, such as Enfamil® ProSobee® LIPIL® and Nestlé® Good Start® Supreme Soy, use palm olein oil as the predominant oil. Others, such as Parent's Choice™ Soy, use palm oil.

Isomil® is the #1-selling soy formula brand. It's been solving babies' common feeding problems (fussiness, gas and spit-up) for over 35 years.

Ask your doctor if Isomil Advance is right for your baby.

Isomil Advance is available in Ready To Feed, Powder, and Concentrated Liquid forms. Check the Store Locator (above left) for availability at stores near you.

*Based on a clinical study with Isomil®. Isomil and Isomil Advance have the same composition except for the addition of DHA and ARA. Improvement in perceived formula tolerance can be related to the formula and/or the effect of switching formulas.

†Clinical study conducted with Isomil without DHA or ARA. Exclusively breastfed for at least 2 months and weaned to milk-based formula without added nucleotides.

The fussiness is not necessarily because of the kind of formula, but most likely because it is formula. When my son was an infant, I tried four different formulas with him and always had the same problem. I was not then educated about the real dangers of artificial feeding and all his problems would have been solved had I breastfeed. The pediatricians, hospitals, etc mostly have you believe that formula is equivalent (if not better) than breastmilk, this is completely totally and utterly false. It is not to late to begin breastfeeding your child, if you want the best for him and want him to be happy and healthy. If you would like more info, please email me.

I tried that but we had to switch to prosorbee a soy based milk it worked and believe me he is a healthy 27 pound 17month old. Check things out with your pediatrician and see what they may recommend
After 7 formulas (my baby has a very sensitive stomach), we finally tried Nestle Good Start Supreme (the purple can). I kept trying to get her on another formula w/ Lipil & DHA & ARA, but she wouldn't go for it. But it's worked very well for us. Also, try switching bottles, we use Dr. Browns, it really helped her digestions.
Every baby is different but I would try Good Start Supreme with soy....i started my son on similac and it had way too many bubbles and it made him spit up all the time and he was really gassy...i also tried enfamil gentle ease...he did ok with it but was still spitting up alot so i tried the soy and it works so well for him...plus the good start brand is cheaper than the rest even tho soy is more expensive.
ENFAMIL- GENTLEASE WITH LIPIL WORKS WONDERS
I suggest you try Enfamil Gentlease. We had this same thing happen when we tried our newest son on Enfamil Lipil w/Iron. We switched him to Enfamil Gentlease and its perfectly tolerable and works just great!!

Personal experience.
My son had a lactose intolerance when he was a newborn. The doctor (at our request) put him on Carnation/Nestle Good Start and he had no problems with it. He is now a very healthy 23 months.
Try Isomil which is soy based or carnation which is easier to digest for baby.
