I don't know if my son is constipated but I change his diaper and his skin is a little bit torn on his bottom

He hasn't been forcing too much when he poops but I'm a little worried about his bottom bleeding. What does he have and what can I do?

Answers:
I'm no doctor, but it sounds like a bad diaper rash. Here's a remedy that really works: Apply Malox (yes, the stomach medecine) with a piece of cotton on the tush and the rashes, blow dry the malox, then cover the whole thing with vaseline before putting on the diaper. Repeat at each diaper change. Also, if possible, leave the kid without a diaper at all every now and then to let the skin heal up.

This might not be a big thing. I would call your pediatrician and ask them!!

i would bring to the doctor or at least call and see what they say
call a Dr.
If your son has torn skin on his butt then that is either a sign of extreme diaper rash and you really should check and change his diaper more regularly. Or there is some kind of foul play and if I was you I would be wary of who has been alone with your very young son.
U SHOULD GO 2 DA DOCTOR N LET THEM KNOW !!!
If this is diaper rash, see if your dr will prescribe Bactroban. It is an anti-fungal creme that will clear everything up almost immediately.

If it is bleeding from his rectum, then you need to get him into the dr right away. No sense in waiting.
Get him to the doctors quick! As of yesterday!

Bleeding and torn skin is NOT something to fool around with!

If its not extreme diaper rash, then it could be something very serious...

I wish you well...

It could be what he is drinking or eating. My son had that problem and it turned out the apple juice he loved so much was the culprit. I had to cut back on the amount. He rally liked it and put up a fuss but he was drinking to much. Check out the acidic levels of the food and beverages and cut them out one at a time until you find the one responsible.
you should have asked this in the society & culture section. you might have gotten a better answer.
If he is breastfed, he is *not* constipated if he passes soft bowel movements relatively easily.
