My baby is 8 weeks old. How long should he sleep?
He is bottle fed and has 6 ounces of milk every 2.5 - 3 hours.
Should I wake him in the middle of the night or is it alright to let him sleep?
Answers:
never never wake a baby, ask any veteran mom - its awful for the baby and for you. your baby seems to have a healthy appetite, touch wood, that may be one reason why he sleeps well. different babies have different sleep needs and no two are alike, at an average a 2 month old will sleep anywhere between 16-20 hours - so he is well within the normal range. babies sleep once they have gotten their calories for the day, so he obviously makes up on nourishment despite sleeping through the night. count your blessings, most babies dont sleep through the night till they are 7-8 months old
Other Answers:
Let him sleep, enjoy the fact that you can get sleep yourself!
if it was me i would let him sleep right through he obviously has plenty of milk in the day so he is no way deprived im sure if he was hungry in the night he would let you know. yeah let him sleep when he's hungry you will know it for sure & congrats
normally Babies sleeps 8-12 , baby should not less than 8 and not more that 12
It is 18 hours on an average.my baby slept from 9 till 8 at 9 weeks and its apsolutely fine your one of the lucky few that gets there sleep lol.also if your baby eats fine in the day and isnt losing any weight then i would advice you to let baby sleep just give last bottle before she goes to bed my fist born was premature and was 2lb 1oz when i brought her home i was adviced to wake her twice in the night to make sure she was gaining weight so enjoy your sleep and best wishes x x x Always remember your child will never sleep or play if he or she is hungry, and whenever he or she is hungry will cry and let you, so let your baby sleep and you too at the same time can take the much needed sleep and rest.
All the best
Let him sleep my first was a sleeper like that and still is a great sleeper..My second on the other hand AHHH.. enjoy it he is fine...
