My oldest daughter used a pacifier until she was 2 1/2 years old. On the advice of my pediatrician, I cut the ends off the pacifiers in order to wean her off of them.
She was very very upset and now I wish I had just let her wean herself off and not forced it.
IMO, if the pacifier gives her comfort, let her have it. You might try limiting your child to only use the pacifier at night, but don't just take it away from her.
